EMC Worship Overview

Sunday Worship:
Worship is held Sunday mornings at 10:30 from September through May.  From the end of May until September, our worship services are held at 9:30.  Our worship consists of liturgies, sermons, biblical readings, children’s chats, different music styles and time with the Lord in prayer.  We invite you to worship with us!
Holy Week and Easter:
Holy Week is the most sacred time of the Christian calendar.  Holy week occurs the final week of Lent, beginning on Palm Sunday and journeys through the story of the last days of the life of Jesus Christ.  Moravians uphold this sacred time by gathering to read the story day by day.  In 2024, Ash Wednesday occurs on February 14th, which is observed with a worship service.  The first Sunday in Lent is February 18th, and finally we celebrate Christ being risen from the dead on Easter Sunday, March 31st.
Christmas:
We love to celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ, in many ways.  One of the ways is to gather on Christmas Eve in our beautifully decorated sanctuary.  We enjoy the Moravian tradition of Lovefeast and beeswax candles are distributed to worshippers to remind us that Jesus is the light of the world!  Typically, our lovefeast and candlelight services are held at 2:00 and 4:30 and our evening candlelight worship service is held at 7:00.  Please contact the office for more information.
